It’s officially the holiday season!!!! I seriously can’t contain my excitement. I love the holiday season and everything that comes along with the holidays: toasted nuts, holiday ham, edible gifts (<– YES.), hot chocolate, gingerbread houses, lights, the giving spirt, Christmas cookies, peppermint-flavored everything, Christmas trees, chance of snow, no school, ugly Christmas sweaters, ice skating, mistletoe, Santa, family-time, classic Christmas movies…. the list goes on and on and on. (And who said the holidays are all about presents?)

But of all things that means Christmas, the best of all is definitely…. PEPPERMINT BARK.

Behold, a non-cookie, sweet and salty, triple-coated, 4-ingredient treat: peppermint bark pretzels. Holiday cookies are amazing and all, but the oven needs a break every once in a while, you know? And it’s nice to a festive treat that hard requires any effort or ingredients.

I love two things: eating healthy and Christmas (baking). Kind of ironic because there is nothing healthy about Christmas baking. Soo, I have justified this next month of unhealthiness with the other 11/12 of the year that we share healthiness with you. So get ready, it’s about to sugar overload over here in these next few weeks….. because: CHRISTMAS.

I feel sort of silly sharing this recipe with you because it’s hardly a recipe. It’s one of the easiest desserts I have ever thrown together. Which is actually incredibly dangerous. These pretzels are as easy as melting some chocolate, dipping, and dipping again. Of course, during the holidays, peppermint seems to find its way on every food item imaginable, so you betcha it found its way onto these darling pretzels.

Look at that chocolate layer x2. Droooool.

I like to alternate with the chocolates: do first coat white chocolate on some, first coat dark chocolate on others to mix up the colors and give a little variety.

These peppermint bark coated pretzels are perfect festive treats for a cookie platter/party when your oven is occupied and your energy is gone.

If you want to make these pretzels even simpler, only use one coat of the chocolate of your choice.
