Summer sandwich recipe breakdown…
- Turkey is my go-to sandwich meat. Ham would also be good on this though!
- Shredded lettuce is superior to leaf lettuce for sandwiches. It makes your sandwich taste like it’s straight out of a sandwich shop
- Dill pickles over bread and butter pickles. Hear me out. For the same reasons as the shredded lettuce… what sandwich shop put bread and butter pickles on their sandwiches?! It’s always the dill pickles!
- Pimento cheese is also superior to a slice of cheese. It’s a spread so you can cover the whole surface of the bread. It add extra flavor. And it add some creaminess to the sandwich, almost like a sauce.
- Cheddar sour cream chips are the move!! Plain kettle chips are a uncommon but also kind of common addition to sandwiches. But cheddar sour cream chips add the texture you’re looking for and extra flavor. It’s a win-win!
