I posted a recipe for a strawberry syrup. Which is fun… but what do you do with it?! This cocktail is what you do with it!!!

This is exactly what I want to be drinking all summer long.

I love a fruity cocktail in the summer. Specifically a fruit forward one. It’s light and bright and refreshing. Everything summer in a drink.

Ingredient breakdown…

  • Vodka is the alcohol base for this recipe. It’s a neutral alcohol so all the bright strawberry flavor can shine through.
  • Strawberry simple syrup is a recipe I came up with when I bought a few too many strawberries. Turns out it’s WONDERFUL in cocktails!
  • Lemon juice for a little acid to cut the sweetness and add some bright fresh flavor!
  • Triple sec which is an orange flavor liquor. For more bright citrus flavor!
  • Sparking water to top it off, dilute it a little bit, and add some bubbles!

Can I make this in batch form for a party?

Yes!! I mix everything together (including the sparking water) in a pitcher. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Then pour over ice and top with strawberries when guests arrive.

What to serve with this strawberry syrup cocktail?

These cocktails would be great with steak and asparagus!

Or turkey burgers!
