The Best Fruit Dip Ever
The Best Fruit Dip Ever is just three simple ingredients that result in a super creamy, perfectly sweet fruit dip. It really is the best ever!
How can such an incredibly simple recipe be so fantastically good? I absolutely love this fruit dip! It’s sweet, fluffy, whippy and oh so flavorful…The best part?
There’s only three ingredients!
The cool whip and vanilla pudding added to the vanilla yogurt totally transforms the yogurt… the cool whip and the vanilla pudding add such a depth of creaminess and thickness to the yogurt it’s crazy! This dip will definitely have you doing the finger swipe to any remaining streaks straggling behind in the bowl.
This dip is so perfect for any and all get-togethers… for brunch, for a picnic, a potlock, or even a family gathering. It’s so easy to make, it literally takes 60 seconds to mix together and it’s so portable!
If there’s any left the next day (which is very very rare) I always want to eat it all for breakfast. It’s like the best vanilla yogurt you’ll ever have… and plus, it is served with fruit after all so that’s healthy right? 😉
You could also try different pudding flavors… and if you do, let me know what you think! I’m just too comfortable with this yummy vanilla version and love it so much that I can never bring myself to mix it up, but I’ve always wanted to try strawberry or lemon or even pistachio pudding mix.
Enjoy!
The Best Fruit Dip Ever
The Best Fruit Dip Ever is just three simple ingredients that result in a super creamy, perfectly sweet fruit dip. It really is the best ever!

Ingredients:
1 (32 ounce) container Low-Fat Vanilla Yogurt
1 (8 ounce) container Lite Cool Whip
1 (3.4 ounce) box dry instant vanilla pudding mix
Fruit for serving
Directions:
- In a large bowl, mix together vanilla yogurt, Cool Whip, and pudding mix until completely combined and you see no more lumps. The mixture will be a little bit gritty at first because the pudding hasn’t had a chance to dissolve into the yogurt mixture yet.
- Cover with plastic wrap and allow to chill for about 30 minutes. Serve with your fruit of choice and enjoy!
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Do you mix up the vanilla pudding mix first before adding it into the whip cream and yogurt? Or do you just throw in the dry mix?
Mix all the ingredients together and then let the dip sit so that the pudding can congeal and it’s no longer “gritty.” Hope that helps! 🙂
Do you use instant pudding mix?t
Instant pudding! Just updated the recipe!
Have you tried Greek yogurt in this recipe? I am looking for ways to use it more.
No I haven’t! It might change the taste of the dip a little bit, but if you like the taste of Greek yogurt, you could definitely try it!
tastes great just uused non fat plain greek yogurt
I did the greek yogurt by accident and it was wonderful. I still want to try it with regular yogurt to see the difference.
I used Vanilla Light & Fit Greek yogurt and everyone loved it. Also added a little Torani Ameratto syrup for enhanced flavor.
Instant pudding mix or cook pudding mix?
Instant pudding! Updated the recipe!
We tried it with Cheesecake pudding mix and it was delicious!
I bet that was great! Thanks for the feedback 🙂
A friend and I made two versions yesterday – one with french vanilla pudding mix and one with lemon pudding mix. I absolutely LOVED the lemon one! It tasted amazing. I’m making some again tonight for my husband to try!
Yay! So happy to hear!! I’m totally trying the lemon version!! 🙂
What if you use vanilla pudding but use strawberry yogurt instead of vanilla ??
I forgot to add that we didn’t have any cool whip on hand so we whipped up some heavy cream and used that, instead, Richer and higher in fat but we didn’t miss the sweetness of the cool whip.
Hi All! So i made this dip for my son’s birthday party this weekend.
i made 1 vanilla and 1 chocolate.
i should have thought the chocolate through, using plain yogurt, 2 pudding packets would have made the taste better. but even as it was it was delish!!
I will definitely make it again!!
Yay! So happy to hear! 🙂 I’d be scared that two pudding packets would make it too gummy… maybe cocoa powder?! 🙂
Does anyone know how this tastes if you make it the night before an event?
You can make it the night before no problem! 🙂
You will be perfectly fine to make it the night before – enjoy 🙂
Could i use this recipe to pipe into hulled strawberries… Sorta like a cheesecake filling?
absolutely!
I only have cook and serve pudding on hand. It absolutely has to be instant?
Unfortunately, yes it does! Or else the pudding mix won’t congeal as it’s supposed to. 🙁
i only have cook n serve – Jena, did you try it? LOH – Will it be completely ruined if I use that instead?
I’m not sure if it will work out or not… you could try cooking to pudding and then adding to cooked pudding to the mixture instead of powder.

Can you use greek yogurt instead?
It will change the taste and texture a little bit, but you definitely can!

This is good. Very sweet. I think a bit less cool whip would be even better, would make it less fluffy, more creamy. I’ll use it again!
can you use sugar free fat free pudding.
I would assume so as long as it’s instant pudding!

I wonder how it would taste if you replaced the pudding with cream cheese, has anyone tired this?
I would not suggest doing this, but you can definitely try it if you are really wanting to!
Wow this was yummy and was a big hit at the Super Bowl party. Someone was even using a spoon to eat it. LOL. It did make a TON however. Anybody know if this will freeze well? I’m thinking about mixing in some blueberries and then freezing into pops???
So happy to hear! I haven’t tried it, but I would think you could freeze them into pops!
My mother makes this as well! She always uses Banana pudding mix or Banana premade pudding instead though. It’s very good!
Oooh! We will have to try that!
Did you use lite cool whip to cut down on calories/fat? Or for the taste? I have regular cool whip…will that be too sweet?
Mainly just to lighten it… using regular cool whip should be just fine!
Does the pudding have to be made first?
Nope! Just pudding mix!
This sounds so good! Can’t wait to try this original recipe and I already have a couple other combos that sounds delicious as well. Like cheesecake or banana pudding with strawberry yogurt. Yummmmm!
Yay! Love your variations!
Looks like a very easy recipent, but great afternoon dessert! I would definitely try this recipe out very soon. Hey, have you try this same recipe with mango?

Used Hershey’s brand white chocolate pudding mix! Oh my goodness this was to die for!!
What kind of yogurt did you use with the chocolate?
I made it, and that same day I didn’t like it. So I bought store brand to take to party. The next day I had a taste of it, delicious. Now I’m eating it by the spoonful, right out of the bowl. It thickens up, and tastes better the next day. I will definitely be playing with new flavors.
Could you use this on scones? Is it similar to devonshire cream?
I would say no because it needs to be refrigerated, but I don’t know what devonshire cream so I’m not sure!
How many servings does this make?
It makes about 8-10 servings
Making baked apple pie roll ups and will be drizzling dip on top instead off ice cream should be yummy

I made it with plain Greek yogurt and lemon pudding, it’s wonderful. It occurred to me that this would also make a great cake frosting.
I was thinking the same thing!!

Has anyone tried pistachio pudding mix?
I just made this with sugar free cheesecake pudding mix & Holy cow was it Amazing! It’s taking all my will power not to go after it with a spoon!
My wife needed a fruit tray for a Chrstmas Eve lunch. I saw this recipe on Facebook, so I decided to make it for the tray.
I mixed it up last night and let the flavors combine overnight. Now, I Hate yoghurt, but this stuff is awesome! You can eat it with a spoon, but it’s even better with strawberries.
I want to make this for a reception at a hotel in another town. Working with small hotel kitchen. Has anyone mixed this by hand? If I make it before I leave I will serve it on day 4 – will it still be fluffy if I make it before I leave? Has anyone tried chocolate pudding?
Replaced the vanilla yogurt with strawberry greek yogurt=deliciousness!!
