Chicken Nuggets in a Blanket
Chicken Nuggets in a Blanket – these are chicken nuggets wrapped in crescent rolls. Like a homemade chicken mini meets pigs in a blanket!
If you love getting Chick-fil-a platters for parties, but don’t love the cost. Then start making these! They taste like chicken minis from Chick-fil-a for a fraction of the price.
They would be perfect for watching football, a Superbowl party, Christmas party, potluck, and so many other occasion.
What are chicken nuggets in a blanket?
Think pigs in a blanket. Except chicken nuggets instead of little smokies sausages. You fully bake the chicken nuggets. Then wrap them in crescent roll dough and bake again until the rolls are cooked through. Brush them with honey butter out of the oven and serve with Chick-fil-a sauce on the side.
What brand chicken nuggets to use?
I like using the Bare chicken nuggets because they taste identical to Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets! I get them at Costco in bulk. But you can also get find the chicken nuggets at most grocery stores.
If you can’t find them, any brand of chicken nugget would work. You could even do chicken tenders if you want! If you’re using chicken tenders, wrap the whole crescent roll around the chicken tender instead of cutting them in a half. I cut the crescent rolls in half for the chicken nuggets.
Some tips…
Use the biggest chicken nuggets in the bag
Some of the chicken nuggets in the Bare chicken nugget bags are really small. Make sure to use the bigger chicken nuggets out of the bag. That way the crescent rolls don’t swallow up the chicken nuggets.
If you only have really small chicken nuggets left, you can cut the crescent rolls in thirds instead of in half.
Fully bake the chicken nuggets
Make sure to fully bake the chicken nuggets before wrapping them in crescent rolls. That way the chicken nuggets stay crispy in the crescent rolls.
