Copycat recipe: Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette! Easy and flavorful. And tastes just like the real thing.
My brother loves Chipotle’s honey vinaigrette. It’s technically meant for the salad orders. But he puts it all over his burrito bowls. I do it now too.
The chipotle peppers in adobo sauce give flavor and heat. And the honey balances out the heat with sweetness.
It gives anything you put this dressing on SO much flavor.
Moral of the story: you can put this dressing on anything.
You could go all in with the homemade Chipotle and attempt to make your own burrito bowl. We have a recipe for copycat Chipotle grilled peppers and onions. And the corn salsa, of course.
However, more often than not I keep it simple. (Like I did in the photos.)
The dressing can make anything taste incredible. So you don’t need to go through the effort of making the other Chipotle recipes.
All you need is the vinaigrette to have an incredible meal.
I marinaded chicken in Frontera’s Green Chili Enchilada Sauce. Then grilled it.
And served it over quinoa, some greens I had in my fridge, and avocado. Then I topped the bowl with fresh cilantro and the chipotle honey vinaigrette!
P.S. You could also marinate chicken or steak IN the vinaigrette. Then make a bowl with the remaining vinaigrette on top.
