The Best Homemade Iced Coffee
Prep time:
Total time:
Serves: 24

Ingredients
  • 6 oz coarse ground coffee beans
  • 6 cups cold water
  • For Serving, Blue Diamond Almond Milk, Vanilla/Hazelnut Extract and Sweetener, of choice
Instructions
For the coffee:
  1. Place the coffee grounds in a 2-quart pitcher, add the water, and stir to combine. Cover with plastic wrap and let soak for at least 8 hours and up to 1 day.
  2. Line a fine-mesh strainer with a standard coffee filter and fit it over a medium bowl. About a cup at a time, slowly pour the coffee into the filter until all of the liquid has passed through the strainer (the coffee will pass through in a slow stream; don’t force it through). Discard grounds.
  3. Place coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.
  4. To make iced coffee, pack a glass full of ice cubes. Fill glass ⅔ full with coffee liquid. Add a splash of almond milk and 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (can use plain sugar instead) and stir to combine. Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.
